Anf’s “Liquor” from the project Tre Deuce was a popular one this year. This artist always knows which songs his listeners want to hear and delivers each time.
From the EP, Trap Baby Jesus: The Motion Picture, Jase’s track “Chain Smoking,” featuring King Dro and Street Scott was a standout track. The album is available on Spotify and Google Play.
Paris has been on the come up this past year with more songs, more visuals, and more freestyles. His song, “Melanin,” was a focal point of the year, highlighting the Kaepernick frenzy and the real issues behind it in a time when it’s needed most.
This was a big year for Ahzay as he debuted his newest project, Gold Sodium Volume 2: Tears on the Page. “Never Did” was his first single, a track that sets a high energy and prepares the listener for what is to come and what this album represents.
Black Hap has been staying in his lane, maintaining his consistency by releasing songs and visuals to his fans all 2018. “No Play Around” was a distinct single that gained traction.
“Get Away” was apart of the perfect soundtrack for a summer getaway. This song was every Frederick girl’s favorite sing-a-long in summer ’18. Check out the OUT40 article and track here.
Droh teamed up with our favorite DaJohn and dropped “Countdown.” It was a hot single this year and definitely one of the best! Check out the visual!
J. Berd has been in this game for a long time and he never disappoints. This collab track was fire on his EP, Overtime. The project is available for purchase on iTunes but get a free listen below in the meantime.
“You” is an afrobeat/caribbean influenced song that samples the infamous LL. A flawlessly produced groove, Eddy Michaels released this track earlier this year.
10. Crime Scene – Noelle Love
Noelle Love is an R&B princess navigating her way through the game. This year she released “Crime Scene” and it was well received. It is available on Apple Music for purchase.
