Sundays are for Summer Concert Series.
On a beautiful summer Sunday, Stitch Early & The Populatn took the stage as part of the City’s Summer Concert Series, bringing hip-hop and soul to the park. As the performance got underway, the crowd continued to grow, creating the kind of energy that moved between the stage and the lawn.
For Stitch Early, the day started off quietly before building into an evening of jamming.
“The day of the show was very chill. I really didn’t do much. When I arrived at the park Showtime did a great job of making sure we had all of the things that we needed,” Stitch Early said. “Soundcheck went smooth and we could feel the love from those who were already in the park. By the time the show started, the weather was amazing. It seemed like with each song that we did, more and more people filled the park.”
The series is known for showcasing a wide range of musical genres, but Stitch’s performance was a notable addition in bringing hip-hop to one of Frederick’s most familiar outdoor concert spaces.
