Every year, Asbury United Methodist Church hosts its Annual Community Block Party, transforming a stretch of All Saints Street into an inviting gathering place for neighbors, families, and community organizations. The celebration extends to the corner where the historic church stands, filling the area with music, activities, resources, and fellowship. This year’s event brought together local businesses, nonprofit organizations, healthcare providers, churches, entertainers, and food vendors, while families enjoyed children’s activities, free school supplies, health screenings, groceries, and opportunities to connect with community resources.
Reflecting on the day, Asbury United Methodist Church shared, *”Yesterday, our community showed up in a powerful way. The Annual Community Block Party was more than an event—it was a beautiful reflection of God’s love in action.”* The church also thanked the volunteers, sponsors, vendors, community partners, churches, and attendees who made the event possible, noting that their collective efforts created “a space where our neighbors felt seen, valued, and supported.” The annual block party continues to demonstrate the strength of community partnerships and Asbury’s longstanding commitment to serving Frederick residents through fellowship and community.
