Frederick’s own Top Notch Band brought the house down during a memorable reunion performance on Saturday night at 611. Known for their infectious go-go rhythms and deep ties to the local community, the band provided a high-energy set that paid homage to their roots and celebrated the vibrant culture of Frederick’s gogo scene.
The reunion was more than just a night of music—it was a gathering of old friends, neighbors, and community members who came together to reflect on the shared history of Sagner. For many attendees, the performance by Top Notch Band was a powerful reminder of the local legacy and the enduring bonds that have united its residents over the years.
Band members were Rock Ronell Johnson, Tyray Layer, British Pearson and others.
As one attendee remarked, “Top Notch is a part of our community, our city. Hearing them play tonight brought back so many memories.”
The band, well-known for their role in keeping go-go music alive in Frederick, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to reconnect with their hometown crowd. Their dynamic performance at the reunion was filled with nostalgic hits, call-and-response moments, an “Not Like Us” Gogo drop, and the infectious energy that has always been a hallmark of their sound.
