The new local music initiative kicked off its first Hear Me Out live recording at the Record Exchange on Saturday, August 23rd. The event was live streamed by A Real Rap Show and featured sound support from Benefactor Events, bringing together artists and audiences for an afternoon of authentic hip hop and community connection. From 12:00 to 2:30 p.m., the Record Exchange became a space for raw talent and storytelling, highlighting the voices of local performers and Record Exchange lovers vibing in the audience. Hear Me Out Vol. 1 marked the start of what promises to be an ongoing series celebrating Frederick’s hip-hop scene and creating a platform for new artists to be heard.
Audience members described the vibe as both intimate and electric, with performers feeding off the energy of a crowd eager to support homegrown artistry. By spotlighting local voices in such a visible way, Hear Me Out is laying the groundwork for more collaborations and opportunities that strengthen Frederick’s creative community.
