Hosted by the Sankofa Foundation, Taste of Africa transformed Carroll Creek into a celebration of food, culture, and community.
- Culinary Delights: Attendees enjoyed freshly roasted Ethiopian coffee, along with hearty and flavorful dishes from Ghana, Liberia, and Nigeria. Cool, spicy sorrel and refreshing ginger drinks offered a perfect counterpoint to the rich flavors.
- Live Music & Performances: The soundscape was alive with African rhythms—live performances throughout the event added layers of energy and authenticity.
- Arts & Vendors: A marketplace of vendors showcased paintings, African artifacts, jewelry, and other cultural crafts—giving visitors a chance to take home more than just memories.
- Community & Ambience: With the event running into the evening (until around 9 pm), the atmosphere leaned festive, immersive, and warm. Families, friends, and food lovers alike gathered under the open sky to taste, listen, browse, and connect.
