Rally for Peace and Justice on December 15th in the Middle East
Frederick, MD – On Sunday, December 15th, the Frederick community will come together for a rally to support the Frederick Ceasefire Resolution, urging local government leaders to take a stand for peace and justice in the Middle East. The event will call on Frederick’s City and County governments to join approximately 200 jurisdictions nationwide in endorsing similar resolutions that demand an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Gaza and Israel.
Event Schedule and Locations
The rally begins with a symbolic march:
● 1:00 PM: Gather at Winchester Hall (12 E Church St, Frederick, MD 21701).
● 1:15 PM: Procession to City Hall (101 N Court St, Frederick, MD 21701).
● 1:45 PM: Arrive at the Bandshell in Baker Park, 101 North Bentz Street, Frederick, MD 21702
● 2:00–4:00 PM: Rally program at the Bandshell featuring speakers, music, and audience participation.
A Call to Action
The Frederick Ceasefire Now Resolution seeks to:
● Establish an immediate, total, and permanent ceasefire throughout Palestine.
● Ensure the safe return of all hostages on both sides.
● End U.S. military funding and assistance to Israel.
● Restore full funding to UNRWA and ensure unrestricted humanitarian aid access.
● Support self-governance and lasting peace for Palestine.
