The Maryland Ensemble Theatre hosts its annual Retro Prom, coined the “most fun gala in the city,” by its attendees, a guest list of Frederick socialites who all love the arts.
Every year at the downtown William Talley Recreation Center, trucks are unloaded and VIP tables and seats are laid out to party!
Retro Prom is the MET’s biggest and best fundraiser that draws sponsors from all over the county; the theme? Make it retro but prom night.
Guests are encouraged to choose any era of fashion and wear their most festive costume. A silent auction takes place with the coolest donated items, (some years it’s a beach house vacation!) Patrons danced the night away with DJ Genius of Benefactor Events and took silly prom photos.
Check out some photos from this year and years past!
