Alexis recalls watching “The Price is Right” with family and her church community from time to time growing up but never thought she’d meet its host Drew Carey from one of her favorite improv shows “Who’s Line is it Anyway?” as a participant!
Her friend signed up for “Family Feud” in LA, and to Alexis, it looked like a lot of fun. So when she saw a ad posting for it pop up online, she applied.
I applied when I saw a posting for it, got a callback for my answers, did a few zoom interviews and they told me I’d be attending! You don’t know if your name is actually gonna get called though.
When Frederick native Alexis Skinner, 28, heard her name called, she described it as “magical.” She describes time on set as a party.
When you’re in the audience they actually have cue cards so you usually might see your name before they call it! But yea getting your name called name is a surreal feeling, very magical and fun. Unlike some other live shows it’s super fun between the scenes and like a fun party with music and Drew and the crew talking with us. 💗 – Alexis, 28
Not a winner of the infamous “Price is Right” car viewers are used to seeing and wishing for but instead, Alexis won “nice” 12.5 touchscreen car tablets, accessories for her current vehicle, and games. Thanks to Alexis, a little piece of Frederick made an exciting appearance on a nationally syndicated family favorite.
