The BAZAARCH event, held recently, transformed downtown Frederick into a vibrant marketplace celebrating African culture and craftsmanship.
Organized by the AARCH Society, this unique event featured an array of items for sale, including exquisite jewelry designed under the guidance of renowned designer Jo Elizabeth Butler, founder of Jewels for School. Butler’s creations, alongside a selection of Ethiopian cotton scarves, dresses, tablecloths, napkins, blankets, baskets, and beaded sandals donated by her, attracted many visitors. Additionally, items from various West African regions added to the diverse and colorful offerings available to attendees.
