African Restaurant Week is a celebration of African and African-American culture and cuisine. This event will support African or African-American chefs, restaurants, and small businesses right here in Frederick.
African Restaurant Week (LLC) is a community based organization devoted to promoting the most distinguished African cuisine and culture. In addition to supporting restaurants, African Restaurant Week helps the local economy of Frederick through aligning themselves with media, restaurant owners, community leaders, and local residents, all to show support to small businesses.
The African Restaurant week will occur between June 8th to June 18th. The event will also include a food and music festival as well as brunches and cooking classes on statewide scale. During this time, there will be restaurants that will offer traditional African-American style cuisines. Indulge in rich, African and African-American dishes from such places as Motherland Kitchen, Ayoka African Cuisine, Le Mendingue African Restaurant and Grill DMV, D-Dubs Island Soul and much more. Celebrate the great heritage of the African diaspora.
