About the Stoop: The Stoop Storytelling Series is a Baltimore-based organization that empowers individuals and builds community through the sharing of personal stories. Stoop live shows and podcast feature everyday people telling the extraordinary true tales of their lives, and our storytelling workshops offer skills and support for everyone to share their tales.
Laura Wexler and Jessica Henkin created The Stoop in 2006. Since then, it has become a beloved Baltimore institution. Nearly 4,000 people have participated in The Stoop — including “big names” and everyday folks. The Stoop has drawn crowds as large as 1,400 and been featured in The Washington Post and The New York Times.
