Last Saturday in downtown Frederick, the community came together for the annual Moon Festival, held by Asian American Center of Frederick (AACF) and supported by the Downtown Frederick Partnership.
The event celebrated the Mid-Autumn or “Mooncake” Festival—an occasion dedicated to community, culture, reflection, and the sharing of light—held at Carroll Creek Linear Park.
Among the most memorable moments were the cultural performances that turned Carroll Creek into a living stage, with local artists weaving tradition and modern expression into every note and movement.

The AACF stands as a bridge of culture and connection—uplifting the beauty of Asian American heritage, nurturing inclusion, and sparking dialogue that helps Frederick’s many voices rise in harmony. Through events like this, the organization continues its mission of creating spaces where culture isn’t just observed but experienced, tasted, and shared.
More than just a celebration, the Moon Festival deepened Frederick’s commitment to cultural diversity reminding everyone that light shines brightest when shared.
