On January 25th, the Golden Mile International Festival brought a celebration of cultural diversity to Warehouse Cinemas. Organized by Golden Mile Alliance, a newly-formed nonprofit dedicated to revitalizing the “Golden Mile,” the event showcased the rich blend of cultures that make this area one of the most diverse sectors of both Frederick City and County.
The festival, spearheaded by the Golden Mile Alliance under the leadership of Executive Director Chris McDonald, was a lively gathering filled with international cuisine, local vendors, live music, and performances representing various cultures. Attendees had the opportunity to sample a variety of foods, shop from unique vendors, and enjoy entertainment that highlighted the area’s multicultural influences.
