SubscribeFinally, Ricole’s drops his list of top hip-hop imprints of the decade. Who left their mark? Check out which albums made it on his personal playlist featuring Rapsody, Pusha T, Vince Staples, and more.
So here it is. By far the hardest list for me to compile and I listed 30 each instead of the standard 20. Was this decade the 90s for me in regards to number of classic material? For now, I’ll say no, however that might change in time for me. In my opinion the 10’s had more 🔥 rap albums than the 00’s.
To sum it, I’m a huge fan of this decade’s releases from west coast artists. A good portion of my list is from that side. I wish I could have included releases from more southern artist like Gucci Mane, Migos, 2 Chainz, Young Thug & Future who all had albums I thought where 🔥, yet their singles might have outshined their whole bodies of work when compiling this list.
It’s hard to distinguish mixtapes from LP’s these days, I tried my hardest. Happy 2020, I’m looking forward to what the next 10 years bring. Thanks for checking in. 🔥👌🏾
