This week’s drops are from Demetrius and singer Meshun Fuller. Check them out!
Demetrius – Trigger
I aint shoot it, if he ain’t missing.
“Trigger” is a warning shot. It begins with an eerie, haunted introduction that would make the listener intrigued and skeptical of what’s to come. Paired with the heaviness of the beat and his slowed, calculated, gritty delivery plays well to make a hard hit. The rapper delivers with fearlessness and conviction that can leave the perpetrators shaken up. The hook is an easy catch phrase that is bold and memorable. The production is solid quality that only magnifies the sound. On “Trigger,” Demetrius is heard defining himself and his values to his audience. He’s exposing frauds and making the difference between him and his peers. This is a stand out track that makes a statement. It’s just hard. Take a listen for yourself.
It’s a smooth ride. Meshun is a current Hagerstown resident who is a singer, songwriter, and vocal arranger. Meshun’s soothing voice in addition to the jazzy elements are what make this track. The bluesy, Motown vibes and influences that are found throughout this track is nostalgic of a cabaret or big band lounge. The array of strings, drums, and keys are the backbone of the song that helps the harmonies and vocals perfectly. Jazz or R&B lover? Check it out.
