The classic tune “Jolene” is in a real music lover’s playlist.
Everyone loves the Dolly Parton song, and many have made it their own, singing their own versions, putting their own touch. Obedie, also known as Madeleine Arnoult, is a Frederick musician who decided to give it a try.
Maddie is a singer currently residing in Baltimore who released her interpretation of “Jolene” off her first project, First Run. Obedie is a multi-talented singer and guitarist. First Run is a four-track, acoustic album including an original song “Note to Self” released in 2016.
Listen to Obedie’s rendition. She did not disappoint.
