AJ Gardner, Founder and CEO of Clout9Dreams, hosted the first annual basketball tournament with a $10,000 prize last month.

Clout9Dreams is a brand about using your clout to impact the world. AJ launched Clout9Dreams last month with an event that surrounds what he loves: basketball. Alongside AJ were Demetrius Bryant and Jermaine Thomas as co-coordinators of the Hoopers of Influence Tournament.

“I wanted my brand to start with an event that means a lot to me.”

The tournament was a two-day event among 8 teams from all over the coast. The teams competed on TJ stomping grounds in the nostalgic Patriots gymnasiums. The games were filled with high energy and high skill as the scores were neck and neck throughout most rounds. In an intense battle of double elimination, Porter Plus Realty from New Jersey eventually took the win home.

It’s where I’m from, we’ve traveled everywhere playing basketball, met so many great players and great people and I wanted to share that with my hometown. – AJ Gardner

“Myself, Jermaine Thomas, and Clout 9 Dreams appreciates everyone who came out and supported us for the 1st Annual “Hoopers of Influence” Basketball Tournament. I learned a lot about the process of running it and next year is gonna be crazyyyyy.”
