Originally from Newport News, Virginia, Terrence Fultz moved to Frederick when he was 19. Drawing since childhood, Terrance continued his artistic pursuits and he later adopted his moniker, Dream Merchant Media.
I’ve been able to draw as long as I can remember…I have a degree in Digital Media design but I feel like I learned a lot more on my own. I’ve done many logos and graphics for people around the DMV.
I’ve taken myself away from the commercial element of design and have been focusing more on just creating for myself. My specialty I would say is drawing. I’m really focused on starting a clothing line I plan to tease with some t-shirts soon.
How has the freelancing business been for you? Any key takeaways?
Freelancing is cool but it can be frustrating when people aren’t confident in what they’re doing so they have an issue with investing into the visual aspect of their brand which often times causes them to try and shortchange you.
What inspires you to draw and to continue drawing?
Drawing is therapeutic so that’s what keeps me going.
How can people find you if they want to work with you?
I’m on IG: Dreammerchant_media or on FB: Dream Merchant Media
